Why should stories only have one author? These are the questions asked by Ithaca’s Neon Flash. A band of art-school students who let the listener decide who should be the focus of the song. Each member of this instrumental quartet writes their parts individually and performances are like a battle royal to see who’s vision of the song can defeat the other members. Loud, chaotic, and sometimes challenging to listen to, Neon Flash is known as much for their fire code-violating light show as they are their sound. Catch Neon Flash shaking the foundation of a house at a basement show sometime soon. Ask a punk for the address.
