Cromwell is a three-piece band that hails from the Midwest, and was a staple of the early 2000’s indie rock/emo scene. With equal parts Sunny Day Real Estate and Braid, they brought buzzsaw guitars and emotive vocals to every performance. As a power trio, Cromwell toured nonstop for a number of years. This hectic schedule only amplified the personality differences between the 2 singers until the band’s eventual demise in 2006. The bass player went on to form Wunder Slunder, while the guitarist and drummer relocated to Florida to form Man Hands. Their final performance was captured for a DVD release. Unfortunately, their label went out of business before this could be released. In recent years, their fans started a Kickstarter to make this happen, but are still a few hundred dollars away from their goal.
